It’s been quiet around here, but wanted to post something to let people know I’m still here and kicking. Been putting in time training and working. Any remaining time has been spent refueling or resting. There is a new Connect section on the bottom right hand of the site. One more pic of the day I ran in the Blue Mountains – This is in Katoomba right outside the YHA Hostel

The Blue Mountains 40 km(~25 Miles) run was wet and cold. It rained almost the entire 5 hours and a dense fog was also set in. Regardless, it was an epic journey and completing the run pretty much sews up a finish at 6 ft. I ran with a North Sydney running group that was a hell of a good time. Got some pics I’ll post later. It took longer than expected. After five months of owning a bike in Australia, I finally crossed the 2000 mile threshold this week. Tomorrow will be spent putting in more miles running through the Blue Mountains. I am looking forward to this 41 km training run for the Six Foot marathon despite the forecast of high 50′s and showers. Like most others, I run better in the cold and the rain will add something more to keep the mind occupied. It’s time for a ride.

The North Bondi Ocean Swim was incredible. The surf was calm, the water was clear, and the vibes were good. The water was a little cold at 16 C / 60 F, but after 30 seconds in the water you don’t even realize it. I did the 1 km(20:45) and 2km(41:41) swims and fared pretty well on the 1 km, finishing in the top 1/3, but got tore up on the 2 km. I finished in the lower half of the 2 km after having issues with sighting. Overall, both races were very consistent, with my 2km time being almost exactly twice my 1 km time.
