Born in 1983 and grew up in Austin, Texas, graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in MIS in 2005, and graduated from St. Edwards with a MS in CIS in 2008. I worked in Information Technology at MAXIMUS and NetQoS between 2005 and 2008 and have now determined it is time to go out and see some more of the world. This site exists to let people know where I am and what I have been doing, document travel activities, and provide insight into the entire experience.
I explored much of the States as a kid during family vacations. I started traveling solo after graduating from UT. At that time, I explored the national parks and forests of the Western and Southwestern states. When I returned I began working for MAXIMUS. After working for a little over a year, I decided to take a Contiki tour of Europe, had the time of my life, and came back with the travel bug. Since then, I have traveled to Brazil to compete in Ironman Brazil, Antarctica to see some penguins, and India to do a market analysis for a pharmaceutical firm curious about market entry strategies. I also enjoy national parks and forests and have backpacked in New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, and Texas. After finishing a month tour of Africa in mid 2008, I lived in Sydney, Australia for exactly 365 days. During my time in Australia, I was a bicycle courier, a laborer, a lifeguard for three pools, and an IT Engineer for Global Asset Systems. I also completed the Canberra Half Ironman, the Six Foot Track Marathon, and Ironman Australia. After leaving Australia, I travelled New Zealand for a month and a half and then spent four and a half months pursuing permanent residence. In January of 2010 I decided to head back to the States and took a couple of trips around the North Island before returning to Austin on February 8, 2010 after being gone for 575 days. Within a week I had an interview with ServiceMesh and by March 8, 2010 I was working at ServiceMesh as a QA Engineer.
